Join us for a nourishing late-afternoon mini retreat designed to bring balance, clarity, and inspiration through a blend of movement, stillness, reflection, and intuitive guidance.
✨ Your experience includes:
🌿 Yin Yoga spring practice — A seasonal yin yoga sequence to gently cleanse, restore, and awaken your energy after winter’s stillness.
🌿 Meditation & breathwork — Practices to calm the mind, balance energy, and open inner clarity.
🌿 Yoga Nidra — A deeply restful guided meditation to release tension, integrate insights, and recharge your whole being.
🌿 Intuitive tarot with Danielle — Danielle will use tarot to support intention-setting and reflection to illuminate new perspectives and possibilities, guiding you into alignment with your next chapter.
🌿 Manifestation journalling with Danielle — Guided prompts to anchor your insights and create a clear vision for the life you’re calling in.
🌿 Reiki healing with Danielle — Gentle Reiki during our final resting part of the retreat for those who wish to receive it.
🌿 Sound healing — traditional sound bowls, chimes, and rain stick to wash over you in harmony, balancing body and mind.
🌿 Homegrown plant tea and raw treats — Herbal infusions brewed from locally grown plants, paired with nourishing raw treats to ground and restore.🌱
This is more than just a class — it’s a soulful reset, a chance to align with the fresh energy of spring and step forward feeling lighter, clearer, and inspired.
More bout Yin Yoga/meditation:
You will be guided through a few gentle and accesible Yin Yoga asana movements relevant for Spring – all too often its the Yang masculine energy of doing running the show and this can cause overwhelm, burn out and exhaustion.
If you have any physical limitations we can find modifications to suit, including simply lying down to still benefit from the healing energy in the space.
Following Yin, you get to lie down and meditation using the ancient and ultra-nourishing practice of Yoga Nidra. In this particular practice of Yoga Nidra you will be invited on a sarced journey around your body, rotating consciousness to release and holdings and connect with the feminine divine energy and light within.
Yoga Nidra is also known as Yogic Sleep. It not only helps you to recognise your more subtle energies, but also promotes deep rest and wellbeing. Yoga Nidra is also reported to assist you in accessing your calm state more readily, improve your sleep, and sharpen your mind and creativity long after practicing it – 20 minutes of Yoga Nidra, which is said to equate to two hours of sleep.
To prepare:
Dress comfortably. Heating will be on but the body naturally cools when you are still in Yin and Yoga Nidra, so bring layers you can put on. Please arrive at least five mins early to settle in so we can start on-time.
Where is it happening?
The peaceful, warm, and serene space at the Whanganui Yoga Centre, Level 3 Guyton Street, Whanganui. Take the lift or the stairs.

Simone is a qualified and experienced level 2 yoga and meditation instructor, space holder, and cacao facilitator offering wellness-based classes, experiences, and retreats. Her intetion is to share tools and energy to help you return to your place of wholeness that is clear, all-knowing, and in love with yourself and life. About Danielle:
Danielle Philp-Wright is a certified Life Coach with a diploma in coaching and is currently studying Clinical Hypnotherapy. She is a Reiki practitioner and holds certificates in Hypnotherapy and Energetic Vibrational Tuning (EVT), a practice that helps people shift their energy and step into new ways of being.
With more than five years of tarot experience, Danielle intuitively weaves together coaching, journalling prompts, and energy work to guide participants toward insight and transformation. At this mini retreat, she will use tarot to support intention-setting and reflection, offering thoughtful questions and guided journalling to deepen your connection with self. For those open to it, Danielle will also share Reiki during the restful closing of the practice.
