NAMASTE SUNDAY – Journey to Stillness (take two)
Take the opportunity to retreat locally and join us and our guest partners for a nourishing two hours at our beautiful yoga studio in Wanganui. This is our second Namaste Sunday event on offer and is following our popular and sold out first Namaste Sunday held early July 2018. While it is open to all, it is on offer as part of Whanganui’s La Fiesta’s Winter Wonderfest programme.
YANG YIN YOGA
Your facilitators, Simone and Belinda, will lead you through a balancing active (yang) flow with passive (yin) holds – begin building some heat with an all-levels restorative and chakra balancing vinyasa sequence then move towards stillness with yin yoga poses and a guided relaxation meditation: a perfect antidote to any busy and stressful modern life.
We will delve into deep mindful movement, resting and restoration techniques that draw from traditional eastern practices – offering valuable resources to learn, feel, communicate and gently guide ourselves back towards balance and integration, one breath at a time.
Following your delicious yin yang yoga, learn self-massage for the face, neck and shoulders. Complete with pure essential oils, the lovely and talented Carly from Butterflies Therapy Room will show you how to tap into key pressure points, unravel tension and restore pathways for healthy movement and glowing skin.
NOURISHING REFRESHMENTS & SPACE
A selection of delicious organic teas from Wellington-based Libertine Blends and 100% raw slices from local business Paleo Antics is included and will be on offer after the self-massage session when you will also have time to mingle and chat with fellow Namaste Sunday attendess. You may recognise Paleo Antics food at local coffee haunts Origins Cafe and The Village Snob.
Our studio is heated and we will be burning 100% natural essential oils and tea light candles for your at home ‘retreat’. You can expect to feel supported, nurtured and nourished, ready to step back into life refreshed and rejuvenated.
Learn 10+ key Ayurveda (the sister-science of yoga) practices just before we head into the yin yoga to take off the mat and into your life, to further help manage stress, sleep better and bring more wellbeing into your life.
You will also get a 15% discount code towards a future treatment with Carly at Butterflies Therapy Room.
This retreat is open to all ages and stages, both gals and guys – you do not need to be a practiced yogi or yogini to attend and benefit. We ensure the yin yang yoga we move through is gentle and accessible to everyone.

Cost is $35 or $30 if you hold a current Tickle My Feet Yoga class pass (five or 10 class pass) and is inclusive of the nourishing refreshments offered on the day.
