About Gentle Flow Yoga:

This is an ideal practice ideal for cultivating more mobility and balance in both body, breathe, and mind. We will do a range of postures to help balance the five elements within, earth, water, fire, air, and ether (space). It is a gentle version of Vinyasa with plenty of modfications and support to meet you were you are at. This practice will lead into an accessible Kriya with breath and visualisation from the Hatha Tantra traditon to still the mind and access deep connection.

About Ayurveda:

Ayurveda is the sister-science of Yoga and the oldest natural system for health and wellbeing in the world – 5,000 year old time-tested practices from the yogic sciences that modern science is finally cathing on to. In this retreat, take your journal out to record some of Ayurveda’s high level and best tips and tricks that are sure to inspire you to replace unhealthy habits with new positive habits that will help to regulate your rhythms and leave you feeling better in your own skin.

About Yin Yoga:

Yin Yoga is a gentle, passive practice to slow down, tune in and let go. Yin addresses the connective tissue, which reduces pain and stiffness, improves body posture, strength and endurance and creates elegance, harmony, greater mobility, and health. It is also reported to reduce stress, calm the nervous system, and detoxify. It follows Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) wisdom, working with the meridian pathways of the body for healthy Qi (prana or lifeforce).

This will be a practice to ‘retreat’ inward and to come home to the sacred wisdom of the body which carries the widsom of the mind – find the answers within.

The sequence of the practice will be inspired by Traditional Chiniese Medicine (TCM) to work on the meridians of the season related to fire – the energy of summer. This all-levels Yin Yoga practice will focus on the heart and small intestine meridians, the two pathways related to ensure your fire energy is balanced – so you can feel all the good vibes of summer; joy, fun, and inspiratoin according to TCM and not manic and anxious when this energy is out of balance

You will be held in a supportive, welcoming space for your Yin practice and its natural, therapeutic, andnourishing affects.

About Yoga Nidra:

Yoga Nidra is a systematic practice of moving awareness from your external world to the inner world, where you enter deep states of conscious relaxation. It offers a state of deep sleep where senses, intellect, and mind relax – it will help you recognise your more subtle energies, and promotes deep rest and wellbeing – 15 minutes of Yoga Nidra, is said to equate to several hours of sleep.

You will be lying down for this practice that is a guided practice between waking and sleeping – it will rejuenvate the body and mind as we call on the healing cleansing waters of the moon, called soma.

“If you want the truth, I’ll tell you the truth; listen to the secret sound, the real sound, which is inside you.” – Kabir

 About Sound Healing:

Following your Yoga Nidra practice, be treated to a mini sound healing, held in the loving ethereal sounds from live and recorded traditional instruments.
