This cacao-yoga-sound offering is designed to help you dive into your feminine essence and connect to the feminine frequency this winter solstice.
Winter is natures gift to encouraging us to turn inward, rest, and recailibrate. A precious blend of feminine cacao, Yin Yoga, meditation, sound, and the fragrant aromoas of white sage will gently guide you there during this special event.
Held on a day that mark marks the onset of winter and the shortest day, its a precious time to share space and tools that have the power to alleviate physical pain, shift emotional and psychological states, and re-align you with your natural feminine frequency.
To allow for a true internal experience, you are invited to arrive and leave in silence.
About cacao:
Medicinal cacao enhances our receptivity to the magic held within ourselves. She is a soft yet powerful feminine plant-teacher that helps to soothe our souls and open our hearts for ourselves, our families and communities.
Mama cacao (when prepared and used correctly) is nature’s medicine, it is a mood enchancer, pain moderator, and antioxidant – a superfood full of amazing bioactive compounds that are good for you – iron, potassium, and magnesium to name a few. It was referred to by the ancients cultures where cacao originates in Central and South America as a ‘gift from the gods’.
Cacao can improve your memory, reduce heart disease, shed fat, boost immunity, and create loads of energy. It increases blood flow and nutrition to the brain, heart and skin. Sacred cacao is also said to provide heightened awareness, focus and intensified sensations, making it the perfect exlir to prime the body, mind, and spirit for Yoga Nidra meditation journey.

About Yin Yoga/meditation:
You will be guided through a few gentle and accesible Yin Yoga asana movements to allow the feminine energy to dial up – all too often its the Yang masculine energy of doing running the show and this can cause overwhelm, burn out and exhaustion, especially during winter as we resist natures urges to slow down and rest.
If you have any physical limitations we can find modifications to suit, including simply lying down to still benefit from the healing energy in the space.
Following Yin, you get to lie down and meditation using the ancient and ultra-nourishing practice of Yoga Nidra. In this particular practice of Yoga Nidra you will be invited on a sarced journey around your body, rotating consciousness to release and holdings and connect with the feminine divine energy and light within.
Yoga Nidra is also known as Yogic Sleep. It not only helps you to recognise your more subtle energies, but also promotes deep rest and wellbeing. Yoga Nidra is also reported to assist you in accessing your calm state more readily, improve your sleep, and sharpen your mind and creativity long after practicing it – 20 minutes of Yoga Nidra, which is said to equate to two hours of sleep.
About sound healing:
Guest sounder healer Yee Ley joins Simone once again to share healing sounds of crystal tones, harp, shamanic drum and vocal tones – soundscapes intuitively choosen to further soothe your soul and call in the feminine frequency on this evening. To prepare:
Dress comfortably. Blankets will be available for you to use but we encourage you to bring another as well as a cushion or any other snuggly props for maximum comfort (as you lie down for your meditation, Yoga Nidra, and sound). Heating will be on but the body naturally cools when you are still in Yoga Nidra. Please arrive 5 mins early to settle in so we can start on-time.

At the treasured St Andrew’s Hall, a Whanganui icon – at 1a Bell Street. Free parking is availabe along Bell Street. Look for the Yoga Spirit signage to know where to enter.
